And some of those friends blog! Yes, I love the blogging “community” because I’ve made some awesome and fun friends from other states, whom I haven’t met, but feel like we’re good friends (like Amanda, Lelan & Bec. Side note: I found Bec’s blog from a huge link up party and I clicked on her blog because I liked her project out of the couple hundred posted. I usually don’t browse through too many in the link up parties. Anyway, turns out she lives like 20 miles from me and my old job that I worked for worked directly with her husband’s company. Small world? Yeah, def.).
Anyway, I definitely do love the bloggy friends I have made online; though sometimes I feel like a creeper for knowing so much about some of these people who’s blogs I follow, who I absolutely cannot wait for them to post another picture of their adorable daughter, or talk about how their day was, or how potty training is going, and in reality I don’t even know them.
More so, I love the real life friends that I have that also blog! I seriously have some fun and cool friends. And I’m so so glad they blog. I thought I’d share the wealth and introduce you to my friends, and maybe, if you’re lucky, you can be their friend too. 🙂 (Not in any order of favorites…cuz I don’t want you friends of mine to get all crazy jealous on me! ;))
This is Rachel. (Also super cute, right?) I’ve known Rachel since I was in 7th grade and we sat next to each other in band because we were the cool kids who played the oboe! Now she does cool things like make Oreo cake pop’s
and leopard nails
I’ve known Kellie since I’ve been born. Our parents were college friends and went to church together, which meant that we had get together’s and game nights and bible studies all together. Kellie was technically my older sister’s friend…but we’re all old enough now that we can all be friends, right?! 🙂 Anyway, Kellie is one of the most talented, real life people that I know and a huge source of inspiration for starting my own blog. She seriously does the coolest projects ever. Like a chalkboard banner
, super adorable paper goods like these birthday invites
, making a children’s play kitchen
, and does crazy cool things like draws on her walls
Sarah married one of my good buddies, Ian. I have only been around Sarah a handful of times, but every time, I always thought, “man, this girl is so fun!” She has an awesome bubbly personality and is just about the most adorable thing ever. She does some DIY, shows some of her house projects (since Ian and her just bought a house a few months ago) and mostly is a fashion blogger. She just started a super cool link-up party of Copycats
– finding a fashion inspiration picture and copying it the best you can! I’m (obviously) not a fashion blogger, so I don’t link up, but they are SO fun to look at other people’s copy-cats, so I’m always checking out everyone else who links up!
This is Kristen, aka the girl who wore the watermelon jumpsuit on the first day of first grade, and the second I laid eyes on her, I knew she was going to be my best friend. Kristen is super spunky and leads such a fun life! A couple years ago, she lived in England for a year. Currently, she’s living in Lithuania for who knows how long. I can’t even begin to imagine how cool it would be to be able to experience the different cultures like that!! Anyway, she is SO incredibly talented at sewing, baking and making things. Like these Anthro inspired tea towels
. I’m not even going to begin to tell you how jealous I am of her mad embroidery skillz. Cuz she haz them.
I met Heidi about 5 years ago, when I bought my first house from her! We got to talking and it turned out that we had some friend connections. I discovered her blog shortly afterwards, and I’ve been
stalking her reading about their homeschool journey since! Heidi is a HUGE inspiration for homeschooling Ezekiel and our other future kids. I love reading her blog to get ideas for how she does it. With 3 young boys and 1 baby girl, Heidi definitely has her hands full – but I love how her blog shows how much fun she has doing it! I hope I am as cool a mom as her. 🙂
Emily is so so so talented! Especially in the kitchen! She makes the most adorable foods ever. Like you don’t even want to eat them because they are too beautiful. Just today, she posted these beauties
. They belong in a cupcake bakery! She always makes the most delicious looking desserts and food!! I wish she lived closer so I could be invited over for lunch… 😉 She also has insane sewing skills. Like how she changed this old lady dress into a super chic dress
# 8, 9 & 10 – The Mom Blogs!
Britney is a sweet friend who I’ve been getting to know better and better this last year. She just gave birth to her sweet baby girl at our beloved Bella Vie Birth Center, where we gave birth to Zeek. If you want a really good “mom blog”… check out her’s. She is so loving in her blog posts to and about her baby girl.
Lacey has been a friend since we were born. We grew up at the same church (same church as Kellie, actually!), and then went to school together all the way through high school and we continue to be friends. Lacey is an awesome mom and documents life with her sweet boy, Landon, her husband and her pup.
Jessica – The Simplicity of Life
This is Jessica. Although I don’t know her real well, I’ve been getting to know her better this year (mostly though FB and blogging), and I know she has a real heart of gold. She is the mother of a sweet baby boy, Josiah, born a few weeks after Ezekiel! Stop by The Simplicity of Life to get to know Jessica, her husband Ben, and lil’ Josiah!
Ok. Rick. He’s my old next-door neighbor. And he really doesn’t blog anymore. But the guy is seriously talented at writing. And he wrote this one blog post about our old neighbor lady who lived across the way from us
, and it is freaking hilarious. I was rolling in laughter. It was posted a couple months after we had moved and for a split second, I missed the old apartment.
And there you have it. My friends. Some of the people that I treasure. 🙂
I’m a lucky girl, huh?
