The {Toddler} Boy’s Room.

I realized the other day that I haven’t posted any “completed” pictures of Ezekiel’s room yet…. and then I thought, “well, it’s probably because this room will never be ‘completed'” with always adapting the room for his new needs and new things he enjoys as he’s growing and changing.  Especially with #2 coming soon (and they will be sharing the room), things will definitely change in the next 4-5 months.

So, I decided to take a pause and just show you the room how it is today.  (And how it’s been for a while now).  Of course, I’m working on one project and already have two more in mind right now, but I think I came to terms with the fact that I will always be working on *something*. šŸ™‚

If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ve probably seen some of the idea’s I’ve pinned to the “Ezekiel’s Room” board.  These are some of the pictures that I took inspiration from for his room:

The alphabet wall!

Love the colors of this room and whimsy of it, but especially love that red rocking moose (from Ikea)!

And now, here is Ezekiel’s room:
As you walk in the room… (As I mentioned before, I really don’t like this paint color.  It was a dumb quick decision based on the room color at our last place and I had already decorated the nursery there with that color in mind… But Skyler said he wasn’t willing to repaint…and so I was forced to make due.  Darnit.  If I could repaint, I would’ve chosen a light grey or light aqua. :))
You can see the Cacti Lanterns here and the toy cabinet here.
The ABC flash card wall is here, the pallet bookshelves here, and the floor reading pouf here.

The string art is here and the toddler activity table is here

The other string art is here.  Someday (soon, I hope) I’ll either be replacing that armoire, or giving it a facelift…but I’d really like to find something a little taller and thicker.

Inside his little bed. šŸ™‚  His puppy that he holds onto all night long, and the awesome hand stitched blanket made by my friend Kristen!

This is on top of the armoire… I don’t like the arrangement but haven’t messed with it much yet.  The fan is for when he sleeps as some nice white noise (does wonders!), the blocks his “Grandma” Candy made for him, the piggy is his bank that I picked up last year at a garage sale for a buck (and every time he finds change, he holds it up to me, wrinkles his nose and blows in and out of his nose for his piggy noise.), Pat the Bunny is a special book that my grandma always had at her house and I loved as a child, and the white basket holds things like his fingernail clippers, nose suction, teething gel, etc.

This is one of the area’s that will soon be gone (sadly).  I love that his books are low and he can reach them.  Often he’ll be quiet and I’ll go check on him and he has pulled a few books off the shelf and is reading to himself. šŸ™‚  BUT, I have another idea for the floor space that I think he’ll like even more… I’ll just have to find another space for the books. šŸ™‚  The white cabinet holds diapers for now and the red drink tub I found at a thrift store for a few bucks and holds all his puzzles.

This little guy isn’t quite finished yet, and I’ll post about him when I’m done! šŸ™‚
And that’s Zeek’s room… for now.
Who knows, tomorrow it could be totally different.  šŸ˜‰
