{Quiet Book} Buttoning Flowers

I was really excited about doing this quiet book page.  πŸ™‚  This is one that I specifically remember from my own quiet book when I was a little girl.  This page is a little more challenging for him to do, but it will be one that he can grow into.

This page was a little challenging for me, in that my flowers kept turning out all wonky looking… I finally had to find a template for simple flowers online (but I’m sorry, I cannot for the life of me find the site again where I got them from).  They turned out a little better with the template… Still not terrific, but not terrible. πŸ˜‰
I kept it pretty simple with just sewing alternating yellow and orange buttons on the tops of the stems for Ezekiel to button the flowers on, whichever way or order that he wants to!
One more page done.  πŸ™‚
Oh, and a couple people asked how I will hold all these pages together.  Once they are all finished, I am going to figure out the layout of the order of pages, sew the pages back to back, add eyelets and rings to hold the pages together, and make a sturdy book cover similar to this one by Stitch Hack:
On a completely unrelated note, the other big Christmas present I’ve been working on for Zeek (with a LOT of help from my dad) is just about completed.  πŸ™‚  Just a few more finishing touches and it’s done!  Then I can focus more on getting this quiet book done before Christmas.  (By “done”, I’d like to have at least 12 pages and then I can always add more or change pages out as he grows and his interests change.)  I cannot wait to show you the other project that I have been working on.  Probably a couple more weeks before I’m completely done…. but I WILL show you, I promise.  πŸ™‚
